Polyethylene is a thermoplastic resin produced by the polymerization of ethylene.
In industry, copolymers of ethylene with a small amount of α -olefin is also included. Polyethylene is odorless, non-toxic, feel like wax, has excellent low-temperature resistance ( the lowest temperature can reach -100~-70°C ), has good chemical stability, and can withstand most acid and alkali erosion ( not resistant to acid with oxidizing properties ). Insoluble in general solvents at room temperature, low water absorption, excellent electrical insulation.
Applications
High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) is a versatile plastic material with numerous applications in various industries. Some of the most common applications of Hengli HDPE high-density polyethylene include:
HDPE 23050: Pressure-bearing water pipe, gas pipe, various industrial pipes, etc.
HDPE HS GC 7260: Crates, boxes, etc.
HDPE ACP 5831 D: Large liquid containers, turnover boxes, large toys, packaging barrels, etc.
Storage and Transportation
Polyolefin resin is non-dangerous good.
In the process of transportation, loading, and unloading, it is strictly prohibited to use sharp tools such as iron hooks or throw them. The conveyance shall be kept clean and dry and equipped with sheds and waterproof cloth. During high-density polyethylene transportation, it shall not be mixed with sand, broken metal, coal, glass, etc., nor can it be combined with toxic and corrosive, flammable, or pollutants—no exposure to the sun or rain.
Notes
Polyolefin resins should be stored in a well ventilated, dry, clean warehouse with good fire-fighting facilities.
When storing, keep away from heat source and prevent direct sunlight. It is strictly prohibited to pile up in the open air.
