Jiangsu Hengke Advanced Material Co., Ltd.’s Phase Four 29.2 Megawatt distributed photovoltaic (PV) power generation project commenced operations on 10 March. When the project is put into production, it can save 32 million kWh of electricity and 12,848 tons of coal, as well as reduce around 32,000 tons of carbon dioxide emission yearly.
In 2015, Hengke New Materials started its research in promoting the PV power generation project. Through PV construction, reformation of technology, upgrading and innovation, it realized the aim of energy saving and eco-friendly production. To date, all four phases of the project are operational. The total installed capacity is currently 60 Megawatts, while the prospective planning capacity is up to 100 Megawatts. This is by far the largest enterprise distributed PV project in the Jiangsu province.
Since the idea of carbon peak and carbon neutrality was mooted, Chinese enterprises have practically begun carbon reduction plans. Hengli Group leveraging rooftop PV power to promote green energy transformation is an important move, especially in increasing the investment of clean energy, accelerating the PV grid connection and maintaining the energy security.
Over the years, Hengli Group has incorporated eco-friendly elements into every aspect of its industrial chain and streamlined the upstream and downstream processes to promote energy saving and sustainability. In the same vein, four enterprises under Hengli Group have been accorded “National Green Factories”.
Hengli Group will continue to seek new breakthroughs to fulfil the “dual carbon” goal and create dynamism in green development.
